How to make mixed lentil dal recipe?
1. The ingredients quantity can be set as per your serving requirement under Change Serving. We recommend you set it prior to the start.
2. Mix all the dals together and wash thoroughly. ( Soak for 1/2 hour beforehand for faster cooking time.)
3. Finely chop the tomatoes into small pieces.
4. Finely chop the green chilies.
5. In a pressure cooker, boil the dal with 3 cups water and salt until dal is tender.
6. In another thick-bottomed pan, add oil and heat over a medium fire.
7. Add cumin, tomato, ginger, red chilli and turmeric.
8. Add lemon juice & mix well.
9. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until mixture resembles a coarse paste.
10. When dal is tender, transfer to a deep bottom pan.
11. Add the tomato mixture and cook for another 2-3 minutes over medium heat.
12. Finally add green chillies and curry leaves.
13. Serve hot with rice.
