what is this parchment paper
Hello Shabna, parchment paper is a grease or moisture resistant paper. It is basically used to line cake molds or baking sheets to prevent the cake from sticking to the pan to avoid making a mess. If you do not have parchment paper you can brush some melted butter to the pan & dust it with all purpose flour (maida) and remove excess. This does the same job, however the only difference will be that the paper helps you get the cake out of the mold easily. If you do try our recipe, please share a picture with us.

Parchment paper is the best choice for baking. However, if it isn’t available, we DO NOT recommend using butter paper. It isn’t heat resistant and should not be used in the oven. Alternatively, you can simply grease the pan with butter or cooking spray. If you do try our recipe, let us know how it turned out. Thank you.
